Homemade Cajon (Box Drum) ... I made this cajon just out of plywood. I used 3/4" ply for the top, bottom, sides and back. and much thinner ply (1/8"?) for the front (drum face). Inside has a moveable snare cut in two parts on a piece of doweling. I took all the ideas that I liked from many different videos on Youtube about making your own cajon, and modified them to my own needs and budget. It sounds really good! (If I do say so myself!)
