Look what Grandpa Thurman built Blake during his visit here last month!  I wanted to do hanging beds in Blake's room, and my dad built exactly what I'd pictured.  Grandpa even made him a rope ladder to climb to the second bunk.  Grandpa is a sailor and loved designing the block and rigging to finish the 'nautical' look for our little pirate-lover.  I did a tan wash on the wood so it would match the beadboard walls and installed some little red reading lights from Ikea.  They're a low wattage…
