It’s common to hear that the love of money is the root of all evil. It’s a commonly quoted verse that comes from 1 Timothy 6:10. The problem is we often misquote this verse. We like to say “money is the root of all evil.” But that leaves out three very important words that change the meaning of this verse; Paul actually says: “the love of money is a root of all evil.” That’s quite the difference. Let's look at what this verse REALLY means.
