40K views · 915 reactions | One of my most asked questions: what soil mix do you use? Don’t get me wrong, I love a good pre-mixed chunky soil, and there are several companies that make good ones. But, when you have 100 houseplants and frequently propagate/sell plants, you need a good mix that works for everything and doesn’t break the bank. I’ve fine tuned this mix over the years, and I’ve had really good results with it. Of course, you can adjust the amounts to fit your needs, but this is what works for me 💚 Comment “list” for a link to the supplies I use. #plants #houseplants #soil #diysoilmix #plantmom | Curlyplantmom | Facebook

They are a top staple in the human diet, along with wheat and rice. In fact, it’s the most common non-cereal crop grown worldwide and holds such significance that it’s been nicknamed the Apple of the Earth. This year, I went all in and tried eight different ways to grow spuds. I did the classic trench method, threw a frost blanket over some to see if a little extra warmth would make a difference, planted a few in buckets for a small-space approach, went twice as deep to see if depth really matters, messed around with the straw method, started some from actual seeds, added more soil as the plants grew to encourage more production, and even tested grow bags.

For seeds to sprout, they need water to get inside and kick off the germination process. It can take some time for larger, thicker seeds though. So, try this: take some small snips and make a tiny cut at the edge of the seed. This helps water get in faster, and you might notice your seeds popping up way quicker. Just a heads-up: this is for bigger, easy-to-handle seeds only – don’t try it on the tiny ones! | Epic Gardening | Facebook

14 Crops You'd be Foolish Not to Plant in March! | 14 Crops You'd be Foolish Not to Plant in March! | By Epic Gardening | It's March and that means three things my friends. One, it's spring baby. Two, it's time to plant. And number three is we have five epic gardening crew members delivering some juicy planting info on over a dozen different crops so buckle in and let's get to it. For me in spring, you could get a little too big for your **** You could bite off more than you could chew or any other idiom that you might want to use but I like to get the basics set up and it's not in this shot right here. It's not the onion. It's not the nasturtium. It's not the elysm or even this very fancy saffron. I'm talking about of the most classic, perhaps the king of herbs, basil. To satisfy those of
