White Kintsugi Planter (kintsugi plant pot) with artificial plant. This planter was broken into over a dozen pieces, then repaired using the Kintsugi pottery method (glued back together with gold to celebrate the beauty in brokenness and imperfection, the Japanese concept of wabi sabi). The gold repair was then painted over with gold leaf paint, enhancing the beauty of the piece. Comes with a black, red & gold card explaining the meaning of kintsugi (see photo 3).
This kintsugi pot is white with a gold repair and a green fake plant.
Each break, and therefore each piece, is unique. The piece you receive may look slightly different than the one pictured.
9 inches tall 8 inches wide and 8 inches deep including artificial scindapsus plant (23 cm tall, 20 cm wide and 20 cm deep). The pot without the plant measures 3 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide (7.5 cm by 8.89 cm) Pictured with a standard 12 oz soda can in 4th photo for scale.
Perfect Valentine's Day gift, housewarming gift, sobriety gift or wedding gift. Also a great Christmas Gift (white, green & gold) or holiday present.
To clean this kintsugi flower pot, just wipe it with a dry, soft cloth.
Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of repairing fractures in pottery, ceramic, or porcelain with varnish or powdered resin with gold or silver powder. It follows that breakages and repairs are part of the history of an object and must be shown and not hidden. The precious scars embellish the object- making it more beautiful for having been broken.
