I love this look...French country...old stone, brick trim above doors, color scheme...would love to make our house have a kind of "old world, French country" feel and look to it. Is that possible?:

Modernized Georgian, Before & After: The red brick was hard and lifeless before. A limewash (a mixture of slaked lime and water that, as it dries, reacts with carbon dioxide in the air, carbonating and creating a tough “rock” like coating) was used to soften the harsh brick color. The shutters and trim are painted in Pratt & Lambert's Lambswool. This new creamy color scheme makes the home's original (and much envied) Buckingham gray slate roof stand out. - Southern Living, March 2013
