I made this quilted table runner/topper from beautiful aqua blue & deep amber 100% silk neckties. For this particular item, a total of 10 neckties were used. The aqua ties were machine sewn lengthwise and the deep amber ties were woven in the middle for interest. I machine quilted around each tie and the middle woven ties. The backing is a vibrant and cheerful hibiscus print that compliments the neckties nicely. The double-fold, mitered corners binding is hand sewn using a small amber and brown circular print. This piece measures 19" W x 43.5" L. Dry cleaning is highly recommended for this necktie quilt.
