Fired Clay Gandharan Head, 2nd/3rd C. The gentleman depicted here wears a cloth head covering cinched at the center front, with dark curly hair spilling out at either side above the earrs. The face is small, with delicately modeled features and a clef below the mouth. Traces of pigment are present and the head fits atop a modern stand.
