(via) If you have had even a small bit of exposure to the 1980's you are familiar with the long lost color mauve. In a throwback move, I painted a (gasp!) single accent wall of mauve in my bedroom that happens to be quite genius. Not quite purple, not quite pink, mauve also has layers of grays that make it moody and complex. Mauve adds fire without a bright blaze to a space, and it is undoubtedly unique.
