Switching out the stainless steel sink that came with the house for an apron-front porcelain one boosts the room's charm. Brass bin pulls, butcher block countertops, and a copper backsplash behind the range add warmth to the new gray cabinets.
Loving the white and grey look with the wood floors. I would like the upper cabinets to extend all the way to the ceiling. With as much cooking and baking as we do, we really can't have too much storage space.
I love the penny tile back there. To make "custom" glass kitchen cabinet doors, just pry off the back wood part, have a piece of glass cut at the hardware store, attach with a heavy duty clear caulk. She used penny tile on the back of the cabinet.
