Indian (possibly Kutch) pesh kabz / karud shaped blade, 19th century,  watered-steel blade of typical long tapering shape, the gold-damascened decoration with floral spray to the bridge and interlocking foliated palmettes to the hilt, the original hilt replaced with a rock-crystal grip and the pommel in the form of an elephant head, possibly added later, 17¼in. (44cm.).
