Show: Mary Poppins Prop: a kite This is the back side of one of the diamond shaped kites. They were constructed with cotton fabric, small dowel rods, and a hot glue gun. I glued the rods around the perimeter of the kite, then glued the middle supports in a T shape. Around the perimeter I left about a half inch to an inch of fabric so I could fold it over the rods, and glue it down to hide them. This is an image of the kite before the perimeter fabric was glued over the rods.
Show: Mary Poppins Prop: a kite This was a kite that I worked on for "Mary Poppins." It was used in the musical number, "Let's Go Fly a Kite." This is a photo of one of the kites with the tail and bows added.
Sheet music instead of a book Storybook Paper Roses bouquet. It would killlll me to rip apart a book for this, but this is SUCH a cool idea cost effective. Smaller ones can be made for the bridesmaids. My only concern is if the ink rubs off on the dress.
