This 1660's gown was lengthy in construction! The bodice was cut and the slashed sleeves were constructed around 2000. There followed a brief interval (of around eight years!) where "real work" got in the way: brides, dancers...). Only recently (maybe inspired by Channel Four's wonderful "The Devil's Whore") I found I just had to finish the gown and two weeks later it is here!
