Siouxsie and the Banshees in their heyday. Along with Bass Guitarist Steven Severin, Siouxsie formed her band in 1976, quite awhile ago, and is credited as being one of the original Goth bands and gals, with th ebig hair, attitude, make-up and anti-mainstream views that many youth cultures then and even now latch onto. Originally part of the Punk scene, the band quickly evolved into more rhythmic and sonically audacious tracks, fueling the alt-Goth category. They disbanded in 1996.
