Nincs semmi baj a jelenlegi kötelező olvasmányokkal, egyértelmű, hogy az Egri csillagokat és a Toldit – meg az összes többit – ismerniük kell a gyerekeknek. El kell olvasniuk, mert ezeken a könyveken keresztül a magyar kultúra és szépirodalom rendkívül fontos szeletét teszik magukévá. De azért kicsit más szempontok szerint bővíteném a kötelezőket. Szigorúan szubjektív lista következik.
