This is Christmas cake by JulieFreund - CakesDecor for the December issue of Cake Central Magazine. The cake is airbrushed fondant, with fondant hills and birds, with royal icing trees, berries, snowflakes.
Beautiful cake designed to look like a white birch tree trunk and decorated with pine cones and sprigs of leaves. it has a wintery feel to it that could mesh with other Christmas foods and decorations.
Happy Halloween Everyone! The black bottom tier is covered with a tufted billow weave as developed by Susan Trianos Custom Cakes. The top tier is coated in sanding sugar. The rose, feathers and jewels are all made from fondant.
Sad but true, made my own cake again this year. Wanted to keep it quite simple with a big statement wafer flower. I love that there are really no rules when it comes to making wafer paper embellishments – and they come together so so quickly.
