Raise the floor of the bedroom and make an office (or a library, man cave, play area, etc. ) on top and a pull-out bed underneath. Or put the bed on top and make storage underneath!

Granny &  Student 16x20.   Hmmm. Not bad, but it could be improved. The stationary washtub would serve more of a purpose if it became a pantry. The table and chairs take up way too much space. I might use a narrow expandable table and 2 chairs and move the whole thing closer to the kitchen. Most of this house is devoted to things you spend very little time doing- cooking, eating, bathing, sleeping -compared to living!
