Ole Bucharest! The city is a beautiful as the n a me is. I visited in winter and spent two whole days there. TRANSPORTATION I travelled from Brasov to Bucharest, the journey by train took about 3 hours, since I was a student my ticket (inclusive of the return trip) cost me about 45 lei (10 Euros maybe). Relying on googlemaps, I was able to use only the public transport through out my stay in bucharest (buses + metro). A single way ticket cost 2 lei. I ended up using public transport only…

Hungary in general has a terrific culture of cafes. Depending on how the cafe owners structure it, cafes can really be a great environment for learning, meeting up or relaxation. There's always a great variety of beverages to choose from, with cofferr or without, tea, with alcohol or non alcoholic, warm or cold. Here's Hungarian literature for cafes to familiarise yourself with; Kávézó - Coffee shop/Coffee room Kávéház - Coffee house Kávé - Coffee These are the fews, I'd recommend visiting…

Some months ago, on a trip to Budapest, I was motivated to write this list. No kidding, every point mentioned was something I experienced and it wasn't nice. All the fault was on me cause I was unprepared. Sometimes we feel more relaxed and laid back, cause its not work or school, its just vacation. However, to make the most out of your trip and to be in comfort, you need to prepare properly and plan in advance so you don't end up having a horrible vacation. Here's a few points I think are…

I spent two months in Brasov, my internship wasn't hectic, so I did have time to look around again and again. While I haven't been to other Transylvanian cities such as Sighiasoara, Sibiu, e.t.c I certainly had a blast in Brasov. Some days were really cold, with snow blocking the roads, but towards the end of February, the cold dissipated. With the pictures below, I hope you could have a peep/glance of Brasov. Brasov in Pictures           Both towers were used in old...

One of the things I can't resist doing when I visit a place, is to try its food, as long as I can afford it. Food can tell you some things about a people, you know, how adventurous or wild or calm they are, yeah there you have it, a thesis topic (worth exploring, incase you are studying something related to food or people) and help you appreciate them more. I have to say Romanian food is delicious. Its tasty, full of flavour and very very affordable. So, for the two months spent there…

This was my first taste of Brasov and it was simply ingenious. I had the privilege of dining here twice and both times were amazing. The restaurant looks good on the outside and inside. I always stayed on the first floor. The service was good, a few waiters could speak English and I always got my meals early too. Bread with pork The pork was very similar to corned beef. I had this while waiting for my meal and didn't have any soup. The only downside to the pork for me, was its saltiness…

My journey from Debrecen, Hungary to Brasov, also known as Kronstadt, the Transylvanian part of Romania took me about 15 hours by train. I had a little skirmish at the border as I was questioned by the customs about why I was there, well regardless of the reason I had my proper documents, so make sure you have the proper permit or visa or do verify if your passport gives you free entry. I took the night train, we stopped at Cluj Napoca sometime during the night,  it was really colourful…

Rankweil is a small town in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. I stayed there for a few weeks, spanning November-December last year and it was a delight. On the blog today we have with us Kemi aka Kemostic who will be telling us in frank and candid words about her visit to the USA and Canada during the summer. What was your first impression of New York City? New york is as busy as they say, no one is waiting for you. Traffic lights are rarely used. How long did you stay in the US for? Three weeks What was your first lesson? Ah learning the difference between New York City and New York State It's a hassle getting a sim card in some countries…

It's been more than a month since I visited Amsterdam. On my third day there, I decided to join a group walking tour of Amsterdam. It was free and the hostel I stayed at was one of the start points, so I thought, "hey, why not?" and I really had a great time.   1. It's mostly free No harm eh, especially if you aren't losing any money. On some tours, you could give tips to the tour guide if you were satisfied with the tour and on one tour I was, the guide refused to take any money from
