Season 1 Jason Lee (Montreal), Shut Up & Eat

Jason is the blogger behind Shut Up & Eat, a #food eater and picture taker. Writing about everything #food from #recipes to #reviews, he will not stop until he can safely say that he ate his way across #Montreal. It's a big claim, and it's one he’s making.

I would love to cook for Jamie Oliver. His simple and traditional recipes are inspiring and I think that my style of cooking are similar enough that he would be able to enjoy and appreciate. His humanitarian endeavours are equally as inspiring and inspirational. "I wish for everyone to help create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity.” -Jamie Oliver

Chef Jamie Oliver's TED Award speech::Jamie expresses his wish to teach every child about food and fight obesity.

Like any other Canadian, my favourite Olympic sport is Ice Hockey! I can watch and rewatch the 2010 gold medal game over and over and over again and it will give me chills every time.

My first cooking memory was my helping my grandmother knead dough to make dumplings. It was messy, fun and it taught me how to be patient. At the end she would cut a piece off, dye it with some food colouring and let me run off with it; to this day I still prefer the homemade play-dough opposed to the store bought kind!

It goes without saying that what I like to do in my spare time is… EAT! Going out to try new restaurants and rediscovering old ones, eating out is one of my favourite things to do.

My favourite Asian restaurant is La Maison Kam Fung – the best Chinese restaurant in Montreal. Opened for over 35 years, it has been synonymous with the most authentic Cantonese cuisine and dim sum.

I would love to say the encyclopaedic knowledge of my parents combined is my favourite Asian cookbook, but a close second place would be "The Wisdom of the Chinese Kitchen: Wisdom of the Chinese Kitchen" by Grace Young for the recipes and stories that I can relate to.
