Henri-Jean Guillaume Martin - Wikipedia
Henri-Jean Guillaume Martin (August 5, 1860 - November 12, 1943) was a renowned French impressionist painter. Born in Toulouse, he began his career in 1877 at the Toulouse School of the Fine Arts. In 1879, Martin relocated to Paris and also toured Italy on a scholarship. In 1889 his work was described as Pointillist. At the 1900 World Fair, he was awarded the Grand Prize for his work and became friends with Auguste Rodin.
