Countess Erzsébet Szilágyi, The mother of Matthias Corvinus. An active political figure even after the death of her husband. Her brother Michael was of influence getting Mathias on the throne. They later disagreed on political matters, Michael was taken by the Turks during a recklessly sought battle Mathias was against undertaking, was taken by the turks and tortured to death
